Amella's annual Halloween party was on Saturday.
It was a a great mini H&M reunion.

I travel to North Muskoka tomorrow for work,
not really looking forward to the three hour drive by myself.
I need to arm myself with strong coffee and loud music.

Ash took me to see Sound of Music last night, and it was amazing. The actors (especially the kids) were really good, and the set design! Oh the set design; it could've stolen the show. We got so nostalgic watching the show because I grew up watching the movie (about a bazillion times), and it just reminds you of good times. The actress who played Gretl was too adorable.

I'm home early because I have to retouch pictures (which I'm dreading, but it needs to get done). I'm taking my mom out for lunch at this Indian buffet by Square One (which is the central mall here in Mississauga), and I have two parties to attend tonight.

One is a halloween party, where it is required to dress up to the nines. I have the perfect costume in mind, which you'll see in pictures later. It'll be awesome because it's also a mini reunion of all the ex-H&Mers. The second is a birthday party which will end up being another reunion. All in all, I'm excited for tonight.

Have yourselves a great weekend!

It's 1:12 in the morning, and I'm still awake. I have to get up in a couple of hours for work, but I'm still lagging. I knew that signature hot chocolate from Starbucks wasn't a good idea for lunch. Yet, how could I resist? It was that weather-just-perfect-for-hot-chocolate kind of day today.

My trip to Vancouver was great. I instantly fell in love when the plane touched down — and I couldn't even see the mountains! My first two days were spent shopping (then feeling guilty and returning) and visiting VFS. I recently decided to go back to school and am determined to go to VFS. Saturday was spent all day with Isabel, walking around her adorable neighbourhood and spending hours talking about everything in the local coffee shop. The London dream still lives!

Saturday night was a reunion I didn't think would happen for a while... my best friend from 3rd grade and I met up for dinner. We haven't seen each other since I moved from Dubai, and she happens to be studying at UBC. It was great — it was like those fifteen years never passed (well, conversation wise anyway).

The minutes pass and I inch closer to full fledged realization that I'm not going to be a happy camper when I wake up. The day will make up for it though, since I finally get to see my best friend Ash after so many months. We've both been so busy that even though I've been back for two months, we still haven't seen each other. Anyway, she's taking me to see Sound of Music, and we're both excited.

I need to end this entry... or I'll go on forever.
But I think my best purchase of the day had to be Interview magazine.
With both Tom Sturridge and Joe Wright in the issue, it was made for me.

After hours upon hours of editing and designing and figuring it all out, I can finally debut my new baby... callula.net!

See you all there :)
